ROCKINGHAM, N.C. NITROJAM FEB 21-24 2008  - Team Demieri qualifies#1 with a 4:22@174mph on sat after some problems at the starting line when the GTO would not restart after shutting off. Vinny and the boy's got the car restarted  and took the #1 Qualifier spot. With no need to go back to the starting line for the for the second round, Vinny headed back for another round of testing and clicked off  4:27@174mph. Since the race was a Chicago 1/8th mile race with the two fastest cars from each qualifier rounds race for the money. Vinny had to run Tracy Cockman of N.C. with his 68 Camaro who was the fastest of the 2nd qualifier with a 4:23@174mph. Vinny and The team went down to do some testing for the up coming season with the NMCA. Having to add 250lbs and mufflers now at 2800lbs, the team did some R&D over the winter with Scotty's Performance and headed to the rock in the hopes of picking up a 10th or two. After a small confrontation in the lanes over lane choice, we won the coin toss and took the right lane. In the end there was no contest against Vinny's GTO with a 4:21@174mph to Tracy's slower 4:56 . Team DeMieri takes the first win for the 2008 season and now hold's the Outlaw Pro-Mod title for NITROJAM at the ROCK.
